नयी दिल्ली, 23 नवंबर (वार्ता) : मुंबई के जवाहरलाल नेहरू पोर्ट प्राधिकरण (जेएनपीए) में निरंतर समुद्री जल गुणवत्ता निगरानी स्टेशन (सीएमडब्लूक्यूएमएस) चालू कर दिया गया है। पत्तन, पोत परिवहन और जलमार्ग मंत्रालय की बुधवार को एक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार यह जानकारी देते हुए कहा गया है कि आईआईटी मद्रास 24x7 बाजार 24x7 बाजार के सिविल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के सहयोग से स्थापित इस विद्युत चालित पर्यावरण निगरानी वाहन (ईवी) व केंद्र की शुरूआत सोमवार की गई। निगरानी स्टेशन और वाहन का उद्घाटन जेएनपीए के अध्यक्ष संजय सेठी, आईएएस ने जेएनपीए के उपाध्यक्ष उन्मेष शरद वाघ तथा जेएनपीए के सभी विभागाध्यक्ष की उपस्थिति में किया। इस अवसर पर श्री सेठी ने कहा,“जेएनपीए स्वस्थ विकास के लक्ष्यों प्राप्त करने और व्यापार के लिये मूल्य रचना के लिये प्रतिबद्ध है, जो आर्थिक, सामाजिक तथा पर्यावरण मानकों के अनुपालन में परिलक्षित होता है। निरंतर समुद्री जल गुणवत्ता निगरानी स्टेशन और ई-वाहनों की शुरूआत सतत विकास के 24x7 बाजार प्रति संकल्प की एक पहल है।” इस केंद्र सवे बंदरगाह क्षेत्र में समुद्री जल और वायु की गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन में सहायता मिलेगी तथा बंदरगाह क्षेत्र के भीतर पर्यावरण की गुणवत्ता को दुरुस्त रखा जायेगा।
